Crazyred Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 I have a 1933 Plymouth PD sedan and need to get the single exterior keyed handle rekeyed. I have taken the handle to two of the oldest locksmiths in my area and they were not able to work on it. So before I kept driving around dropping it off or trying to find somewhere to ship it to, I figured someone may know of a locksmith in the Houston area that can work on these. Does anyone have any recommendations? Quote
Frank Elder Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 Try to find the oldest locksmith in Houston.......if he ain’t bald or silver he ain’t gonna know how to work on it....lol. Seriously look up a couple of hot rod shops or customizers and see who they recommend. Then you are in tall cotton. Quote
Sniper Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 I got my 51 rekeyed recently, not sure how different that might be from your 33. They did a good job for a reasonable price, did both door locks, the trunk lock and the glove box lock. Not near Houston, but have been there forever, 4th generation. https://www.dixkeyshop.com/ Quote
Crazyred Posted April 13, 2021 Author Report Posted April 13, 2021 Thanks frank i didn't think about calling a rod shop. There is one close by I'll check with. If no luck locally, then snipers suggestion looks great! Thanks for sending the link over sniper! Quote
