38 running board pattern

I’m looking for any information on the tread patterns stamped into the running boards for 38 dodge pickups. 
my running board pattern looks like the pic. Ideally I’d like to patch my rusty running boards but am lacking patch material with appropriate pattern. Wonder how common this pattern is?
Any ideas on how to recreate said pattern?

I just saw a post on the 39-47 group where someone made a stamp to reproduce their own. They filed a piece of steel until it was a good fit in the underside of the dimple and then started pounding.

My thought exactly. 
could use a male/female set of dies, align them with a long hinge. 
I made a dimpler from an old ball joint. Used a strip of flat sheet metal bent in a u instead of a hinge. I have tried it in a vise, a press and with a hammer and block. All gave me desireable results
