Door & trunk locks but no Keys

Recommended Posts

When I got my 37 Plymouth it came with the ignition key only. The door and the trunk do not have keys. I have looked on line but to pay hundreds of dollars is not in my budget.  Any ideas?

Thanks as always for your help!

Locksmith might be able to help. That or keep your eyes open for a new set of locks that include the keys. I got a matched ignition and door set plus a new trunk lock & key off eBay.

Any competent locksmith should be able to cut you keys. You will have to take the necessary locks to them of course. I had keys cut for the doors and trunk of my '51 Dodge coupe with no problem. They matched the ignition and door keys and a separate key for the trunk which was standard practice when new.

Thanks for that. This was my thought as well but here in Merry  Old England  they don't cater to American cars too much.  It's worth a try though.

Didn’t realize you were in the UK. You can often find the right year key blanks on eBay if you can’t find them in the UK.

Lock smith,   on my 47, doors and trunk are different keys.

I'll have to take them both out then. Thanks
