Forum Friends,

I've been having trouble with me passenger side window binding up.  I took it apart and it appears as if there's a guide that runs along a track that has come apart (see image).  Has anyone seen this?  Any idea how to get the guide back on the track?  I checked the shop manual and didn't find much.

Thank you.

Just looking at your picture and where the red arrow is pointing I would say that the rustu washer or part that is on the left side by the arrow point would slide into the groove. Not sure how you can move the lower arm backwards enough to get the lower arm reconnected also would put some lubriplate of the sliding washer to keep it greased.

Just my 2 cents worth of input.

The larger spring loaded washer stays outside of the channel groove.

The tapered large stud part slides into the channel grove.

Be sure to lube with lithium type grease on all slides and pivots for smooth easy window operation.

DodgeB4ya,  thank you.  Any thoughts on how to get the taper stud back in the track?  Dave

That might be the say a 10" of bolt on track.... if it is usually two 7/16" bolts hold it to the door shell...remove them and then slide the track guide back over the stud. Watch the position of that track guide if the bolts and guide are adjustable in slotted holes.

Then bolt it back to the door.

Now the other way if needed is to loosen the the window regulator enough so you can move the regulator arm stud so it will go back into the track.

But then why did it come out? Possibly an adustable window stop bracket up top or rubber bump stop at the bottom is missing.

Awesome... thank you.  It came out b/c the window got stuck (been sitting for years before I got it) and I might have "massaged" it a little too much trying to get it to move.  Whoops.  Again, the guidance is much appreciated.
