Where to look

Any suggestions as to where to look for an emergency brake band for for my 49 Ply 2 dr sedan?  Also, if the bolt holes match, is there any reason that I couldn’t use one of the new aluminum thermostat tubes on my L head six?

do you need the entire band or just material to reline it?

Hi Ed,

i need the entire band.  It was missing when I got the car.  Fortunately I live on the New Mexico high plains.  Nothing that leaving it in second gear won’t take care of. :-)

Thanks for all the suggestions for sources.  I found one from an eBay seller who showed that he had 10 NIB parking brake bands 

for $135.00 shipped.  He also had the “make offer” button on.  I thought what the heck and made a $75.00 offer.  He took it!
