Ed Griffin
I know some will say "your still a kid" and some will say "your older than dirt" but it all depends on the end it comes from. What I say is "I made it to the halfway mark." 9/9/57 The 3 pic's are of my wife Beverly and I from 1974 til now. Thought it wouldnt hurt to plaster my face on the forum since it will be the first time. Just remember "youngsters", you too will change over a 30 plus year period Here's proof! Ed Griffin
Thanks, LOL. Yep, that was a long time ago. Actual title was hippie redneck back then lol. Fork in the road was between the pic#1 and pic#2 time frame. I see you have been in the studio's too. The picture attached is my grt grt granpappy Back then Ed I was driving a $600.00 69 Firebird with a ragged out 350 and learning how to keep a car going. I'd had 3 bikes by the time that pic. was made and learned basics from them . One of my buddies was already tearing down trannies by then and it amazed me watching him. He had one bad 55 Chevy at one time. Milk crate seat

Rodney Bullock
Happy B day ED, I will be a little older on the 22 so I understand, the 70's was a good decade.
bob_amos
Congrats on reaching that half way mark. Hell, I don't even remember it... My wife, Margie, will beat you there by 3 days. She reaches it on the 6th. Not sure how she will take it but you seem to be handling with class. HAPPY B-DAY!!!
splat1955
Happy B-day Ed.......Looks as though by the smile on the your faces, it's been a good run for you and the misses thus far. I hit 52 this past July.....and the 70's, they rocked!.....of course until they didn't anymore. And ya know.....I realized on my b-day, that theres a real good chance, that I might still have enough in me to do 1 or 2 cars more cars.....the good lord willing. Anyway, again, Happy B-day! james curl
I hope you do not think the 50's are the end of productivity, I have friends in their 60s to mid 70s who build cars all of the time. I am 71 and still work on mine all the time, I installed a 90 Dakota rear end and front disc brakes before driving my 48 Plymouth to Bonneville and back. Right now I have the engine apart with the pistons and rods at the machine shop for new wrist pin bushings. Just because you get old doesn't mean that the world stops turning, so get out there and build some more old cars in the future. You just learn to work smarter and slower. Ed Griffin
Thanks for all the HB-day wish's guys. Didnt do much but eat some chocolate cake which is all I asked for. Yep, we've had a good run together and hopefully 30 more. As far as productivity or projects go I'm set. Since cars n trucks are not my only hobbies I have other projects as well. Some are put away for the slower times. For now I'll settle for getting finished what I started and getting running what is not. Now that the weather is getting better it's time to get back to the grind stone. Thanks again guys, Ed
