Axel housing / bearing race

This housing is from a housing that has a removable differential backplate. Is there a race / cup remaining in this picture. This is not my housing.my axel housing does not have a removable backside

looks similar the later style bearing where the axle shaft itself is the inner rolling surface..the roller bearings and cage along with the seal seem to be missing...

I was just informed this is a older mopar axle....so the inner step is for the seal and the outer step is where the outer race will fit when axle is slipped into the housing....modern axles like the later Dakota use an different sty le bearing and I thought he was referring to a later style...
