29 stake body Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 I am trying to help someone restore a 1929 Fargo Stake Body truck and they do not use the internet. We need a master cylinder for the truck. Does anyone know where we could get one or any other forum that might be better to post this on? Thanks for any help. Quote
RobertKB Posted May 10, 2018 Report Posted May 10, 2018 Check out the Links Directory. Good luck with your project. Pictures always appreciated. Quote
29 stake body Posted May 11, 2018 Author Report Posted May 11, 2018 Do you know of any Fargo truck forums? Quote
Ralph Pearce Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 Back in the pre-Internet 1980s, I relied heavily on Hemmings Motor News. 1 Quote

Not sure what is more impressive, a 29 Fargo or the fact they don't use the internet ? is the MC missing or can it be rebuilt? I know Hagens in WA can do some re-sleaving ....... https://hagensautoparts.com/ might be worth an inquiry if you can and you haven't already. 1 Quote
Desotodav Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 Check out the AACA forum under the 'Dodge trucks' section as they seem to be more interested in the earlier MOPAR vehicles there... http://forums.aaca.org/forum/43-dodge-trucks/ .. otherwise, it might be worth dropping Countytravler (Dave) a personal message here as he is a member on both forums and he's quite knowledgeable on older MOPAR's. I would love to see some photos of your friend's stakebed if you can manage it. Quote
Ralph Pearce Posted May 11, 2018 Report Posted May 11, 2018 I wonder if this MC on eBay is close to what you're looking for: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1929-Dodge-Brothers-DA-Master-Cylinder-Lockheed-Wagner-1FD884/142786277278?epid=23008400720&hash=item213eb9af9e:g:F6EAAOSwnONZCPSv Quote
29 stake body Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 We have the original master cylinder and a rebuild would be fine if we can find the parts to rebuild. The 1929 Dodge brothers one on ebay looks to be the same. I will check out some of the suggested forums. Thanks Quote
