Did Dodge trucks use a bumper jack, and if so where was it stored?

The 39-47 trucks had a bottle jack. I think they just expected you to toss it behind or under the seat.

Hey Joe,

I don't remember seeing this post on the truck side, but it's a good question.

I found a screw type jack and handle amungst a bunch of junk in the bed of my truck. It's too rusty to be of any use, but I wondered if it was original to the truck.

Merle, Thanks for the response. It was for a 60 Dodge truck. I know I don't belong, But this is the place for me. After all I have a flathead in the truck. As far as the jack, I ordered a owners manual for my truck.That should tell me about the jack. Sometimes the fog is a little thick out here, so you just ask......
