I have these 2 218s apart and just for grins I measured the piston pin diameter, the P-24 pins are approx. .859 diameter and the dodge of uncertain  year has pin diameter of approx. .869. About .010 difference,  what gives? I would have thought they would be the same.  Dave

without looking up what the pin diameter should be, I can tell you that oversize pins were available from aftermarket suppliers to save the cost of new bushings.

That makes sense, after looking at the components closer it appears this engine hashad lots of work done on it. The piston are all also knurled.  Dave
