Thomba48 Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 It has been too long since I did that and that time has not made me any wiser but really stupid :-( :-( If I want to hook up any type of accessories that need juice on what is the best connection pole to choose on the actual switch. Sorry for this ridiculous question. :-( thanks Quote
Mark D Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 Not silly at all. It’s the longest threaded post on the back of the ignition switch. But be careful of how many accessories you tie to the post, you might want to consider and accessory fuse block installed on the firewall. Quote
Thomba48 Posted January 4, 2018 Author Report Posted January 4, 2018 This is the one I seem to be having - now which one is the longest one? So difficult to tell when looking underneath the dash!!! I guess it is the one on the top. Quote

Ignirion switches are really simple and easy to take out and replace in all these old cars,so why not take it out of the dash and let it hang so you can see what you are doing, and get really good connections? Look closely at the black plastic on the rear of the switch and all the posts are marked as to what they are. One will read "acc, one will read ign or i,one will read start." Quote
Thomba48 Posted January 4, 2018 Author Report Posted January 4, 2018 Thanks. Yes that sounds like a good advice. I shall just do that. Quote
dpollo Posted January 5, 2018 Report Posted January 5, 2018 another way to power accessories is to use the power terminal on the fuel gauge. Quote
