bergy Posted September 29, 2017 Report Posted September 29, 2017 Hey all Working on my rusty hope disc conversion. King pins came out good- but my question is- what do you put back in the top of the spindle for grease retention? I destroyed the old ones on removal and I couldn't find a related topic for help? Thanks Bergy Quote
Young Ed Posted September 29, 2017 Report Posted September 29, 2017 It's a plug like a frost plug in the engine. Your king pin kit should have come with new ones. Or when you say king pins came out good do you mean the old ones went back in well? Either way Dorman products has what you need. Quote
bergy Posted September 29, 2017 Author Report Posted September 29, 2017 Thanks for reply.my king pins drove out easily- so I'm putting them back in. Thanks for the help. I'll check out dorman Quote
Bobacuda Posted September 29, 2017 Report Posted September 29, 2017 Why would you did you remove the kingpins just to put them back? Quote

I'm guessing that he wanted to drill and thread the steering knuckles for the disk brakes . Easier to do off from the truck , so he removed the king pins . Quote
