John32369 Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 I have a 46 Desoto sedan and its time to do the brakes. The drums are free of the hubs but it appears that either the shoes are stuck to the drum since it sat for so long or there's a ridge on the drum to where the shoes get hung and won't allow us to pull the drum off, Any suggestions? casper50 Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 John this is a stupid question but have you backed off both adjustment cams? Quote
John32369 Posted July 5, 2017 Author Report Posted July 5, 2017 I personally haven't, being as I've been working a lot recently. My dad has been piddling with it in his spare time though and claims to have. He has stated that he may need to back off of them more. Quote

Bingster Posted July 5, 2017 Report Posted July 5, 2017 As one with a '47 DeSoto four door sedan, I'd love to see some photos. I am in need of some photos of how things go back together. Maybe we could PM. Quote
