Brendan D25 Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I will soon be looking for some upholstery material for my 48 D25 and am wondering how many yards would I need to do both seats including the back frame of the front seat and the four door panels. Brendan. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 I was thinking about 10 yards would do the entire job but like you said I should add a few more. Thanks Norm. Quote
greg g Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I purchased 8 or 9 yards for my business coupe. I did the seat cushion, the seat backs (the coup has hard backed folding seats with a leatherette cover, so no material was used there. I also dis the two door panels, the package shelf (which on the coupe is about twice the size of the sedan, and a drop down panel between the package shelf and the leatherette of the space between the trunk and back seat. I have about 2 yards left over. My guess is that you would need 16 to 18 for a four door. Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Greg; Did you get the PM I sent you? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I think I bought 17 or 17 1/2 yards for the convert.....for seats, panels and (i think) inside of trunk....on advice from the upholstry guy. The material is still sitting there.....has not been installed yet as I decided it is not quite the color it appeared in the store--therefore not quite what I want. So, not sure how many yards it would actually take. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 Thanks guys, the material I am looking at getting is a solid grey similar to Greg's car, at least that way I dont' have to bother with matching patterns. Brendan. Quote
