bambamshere Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 I love my truck I love my truck I love my truck. Ok enough of that. I have a bit of a problem. I am trying to figure out why I have no brake lights when my lights are on. I have brake lights when there off but my lights also seem to be pretty bright like the brake lights bright. Not sure if I screwed up something in wiring or not. I wired them up the same way they were before. Anyone have any wise ideas. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 Are you running turn signals? Sounds like you have something crossed with the h lights, they shouldn't have anything in common, only the turn and brake Quote
greg g Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 Bulb pins are not indexed so the bulb can go in both ways. Spin them around and see if they work better. Quote
bambamshere Posted May 25, 2017 Author Report Posted May 25, 2017 I will turn them around thank you.I was almost ready to rip the hole thing apart again. Just finished putting a bunch of electrical in today but didn't touch the lights. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 The bulb 180 deg still won't make the brake light disappear with lights on, just lights the wrong element in the bulb for tail lights/brakes sorry to kill that easy fix....lol Quote
bambamshere Posted May 25, 2017 Author Report Posted May 25, 2017 It did actually work for one of them. The other. I will have to see whats going on with it. But working out side and it raining today so tomorrow will be the day. Quote
greg g Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 For the one still not working double check the ground. Also is your bed grounded to the frame??? Run a wire from bed sheet metal to frame or bumper. I was chasing gremlins on my Studebaker pick up. Ran a good ground, problems gone. Quote
