Hi all, does anybody haave a diagram of the e-brake assembly for the 3spd standard trans. If so could you please post it. I have assembled my ebrake today, but wanted to know if and where a retrurn spring fits into the equasion.

Not getting much done today, it's 97 in the shade and probably 110 in the direct sun, maybe hotter. this is definately the upper ends of our summer weather. It is a cool 78 in the garage.........Fred

It is the tranny return spring, as Shel as illustrated, the car is a 1947 Chrysler C38 Club Coupe, but the trans is from a 1951 Dodge, and so is the E brake, it is slightly different than the 1947, but not much. The e-brake band is religned, had this done last week , cost $37.00

Not a problem to post. I don't know a lot, but I can take a pic of most anything and I needed a break from cutting, splitting and stacking firewood.

I picked up some free wood for the fireplace once from a tree a neighbor had cut down. It sat stacked (not split) in the yard for about 5 years before I finally got around to cutting and splitting it. You guys can cut and split all the wood you want. After splitting and cutting all that "free" wood, decided never again. Have it delivered now all cut and split, and the guy even stacks it for me.:) A few years ago he cut down a tree for me in the back yard. Ask if I wanted to keep the wood for the fireplace. Told him no, you take it and I'll buy it back in the fall all split and stacked.:)

When I lived in SC the guy on the next street over had a fire wood business...I would get a whole trailer wood of oak for just a few bucks..it was what he called "ugly" wood..the stuff with knots or irregular splits etc..stuff that he could not stack quick and easy when delivering..was excellent for my brick lined Vogzelgang double barrel woodburner.
