BobT-47P15 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 ....the "Boyd's Choice" Award, to be given by Mr Coddington himself to any vehicle he liked......at the Tulsa show on Saturday. Have not seen that mentioned anywhere. Anyone heard? All I can say is that it didn't come home with me. (don't know if he indeed gave it out, don't really care) As we neared Joplin, on our way home, the sun was glinting on our supersonic bug deflector. We figured we were winners because we got to meet other old MoPar guys like Johnny S, and Pete, and Joseph, Bob V & Wanda, and see Don again. Also met Lee (Furylee). Lots better than a piece of wood & metal. Quote
blueskies Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Bob- I think the trophy did come home with you, as well as the rest of us who drove our cars there. The trophys are the cars, the good times, the new friends, and the lasting memories. Can't wait to do it again... Pete Quote
Normspeed Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Is the Black car Furylee's Fury? Nice car. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 24, 2007 Author Report Posted July 24, 2007 Yes..it is. Very nice vehicle. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Reckon Boyd carried that trophy home for himself???????? Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Reckon Boyd carried that trophy home for himself???????? Who cares? I am sure his opinion on the best car and my opinion on the best car would be worlds apart. Quote

I agree Pete; "The trophys are the cars, the good times, the new friends, and the lasting memories" I could not have said it better myself;) I added a lot to my trophy memory bank! And my trophy memory bank is a whole lot bigger than my non existing trophy shelf. You will never see my trophy memory bank on the bay:D Quote
Furylee2 Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Is the Black car Furylee's Fury? Nice car. Thanks, but actually, it's a Belvedere. In 58, Fury's only came in off white (tan) with gold side trim. I started using the "Furylee" handle because I had two 64 Fury's (down to just the convertible now), and my 68 Fury III convertible. Besides, "Belvederelee", or "SpecialDeluxelee" (my 41 coupe) would be way too much to type! Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted July 27, 2007 Author Report Posted July 27, 2007 Well, i guess you could shorten the one about a Belvedere down to BVDLee:) Quote
Johnny S Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 Bob, great photos....Hey Pete....nice hat!! Yes, the cars are the trophies and we all got one (or two or ??). And the good people who love their Mopars and do such a great job helping others are the cake and the frosting too. Quote
