Greg F Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 (edited) Are the rear axels on a 1940 P10 the same dimensions as the rear axels on the 46-48 P15? Length and spring perch dimensions. Thanks as always, Greg Edited November 14, 2016 by Greg F Quote
knuckleharley Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 Am I correct in assuming you mean the entire differential,or just the axles themselves? I don't know the answer to either myself, but it always helps to be specific so somebody that does know can tell you. Quote
Greg F Posted November 14, 2016 Author Report Posted November 14, 2016 Just wondering if the whole rear end dimensions are equal. There is a a rear end that fits a 46-48 p15 that I'm interested putting in my 40 p10 if they are basically the same dimensions and would fit. Hope that helps. Thanks Greg Quote
desoto1939 Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 according to my Hollander books 1 inch by 10 spines in the inner end 32 1/4 inches long. Plymouth 1937 48 Exec 7 Passenger will interchange so yes the axles should fit The differential also should fit from 1937 - 48 exec 7 passenger can not answer the question about the overall length and if the spring perchs the same but I would think they would be same if the axle shaft is the same.
