62rebelP23 Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 don't know how many times have had to go over the procedures for ordering replacement VW radios... have to have virtually all the pertinent data off the original unit, which requires the tech to pull it. so... they ALL cry and whine about this job. if they don't want to do it, don't pick up the RO. simple enough, leave it to a tech who wants some punch time. JEEZ these prima donnas are a whiny bunch. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Little off the original words but something to this effec... Money for nothing get your "checks" for free... Hear you on that..I now say it one time, E-mail with receipt and read requests, they big boys..said they can do the job..well it is in your ball park now..batter up..there are no free walks now...we just had a question arise after 4 years when I submitted the request...showed them the message..they left tail between the legs and a promise to do better....lol WHEN PIGS FLY Quote
62rebelP23 Posted July 17, 2007 Author Report Posted July 17, 2007 we're building up service dept to get our share of the demographic here; got plenty of work since "moneyed folk" refuse to maintain their vehicles themselves. half the crew is crying about too many techs on staff (have to compete for jobs..) and the other half is lapping it up like cream. and 90% of the work is remove and replace.... no "repairs" IMHO. you can lead a horse to water.... Merle Coggins Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Sounds like those who are willing to work are doing most of it, and those who don't want to work are complaining because they're not making enough $$$$. That sounds about normal around here too. I had friend tell me once that he saw a co-worker tell his boss that "I ain't here to work. I'm here to get paid". And because they have a screwed up union, there were no grounds to get rid of him. Merle Quote
62rebelP23 Posted July 19, 2007 Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 heard one today crying about the hour guarantee again. seems that the latecomers are (once again!) pulling all the work while the "original gangstas" are picking their asses. get off the glutes and get an RO for chrissakes. they've doubled the service crew while it's still just ME at the counter for them AND wholesale calls. time for a chat with the service director....
