Paul Hatfield Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Can someone please tell me the diameter of the 1/2- 3/4 ton steering wheel and the diameter of the 1 ton steering wheel? I have been looking for a good steering wheel for my B1C and so far no luck. Wondering if I could stand using a 1 ton if the diameter is not too much greater and the shaft diameter/fitment is the same. Thanks, Quote
JBNeal Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 1/2, 3/4 and 1-ton steering wheels are all the same size...B-1 & B-2 steering wheels differ from B-3 & B-4 steering wheels in spoke layout and grip detail, but their hubs are all the same 1 Quote
Charlie Stephenson Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 Help make this clear to me. All the same ? My B 3 YA is 2" in diameter. Believe me I need it - but can't find even a bad one, is a b-3 18" diameter wheel the same size shaft ? Charlie Stephenson Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 Here's how it is on steering wheels... at least B3/B4 wheels.. 1/2 thru 1 ton steering wheels.............18" dia. ......small size steering shaft using 15/16" nut............... 3/4" thick at the grip 1-1/2 thru 2-1/2 ton steering wheels... 18" dia........medium steering steering shaft using 1-1/16" nut... 3/4" thick at the grip 3 thru 4 ton steering wheels.................20"dia. ......large size steering shaft using 1-1/4" nut..................1-1/16" thick at the grip Models T-V and Y trucks. The 2-3/4 ton trucks (R) use three different size steering wheels including the 3 to 4 ton wheel depending on factory equipment options. I believe the B1and B2 steering wheels are the same size spec wise only (spoke design and grip are different as already mentioned) 3 Quote
