hey fellas. I am doing a drive train swap on my 41 Plymouth. Got the adapter,  t5 conversion set up and installed, now moving on to the rear end. I had a Ford inch from a maverick sitting around but it is unfortunately too narrow..I am now looking at another Ford 8 inch out of a 1969 Ford Ranchero. The dimensions: 59.25 from drum to drum (wheel mounting surface)

Will the 69 ranchero rear end work for my application?

Thanks

you have both the stock rear end in front of you and the donor axle....three things if staying stock with width/track  and utilized stock rims so to keep stock caps etc etc is;    the flange to flange to keep track as factory, second is position of the perches and do be careful off offset here when making/setting this measurement and third is matching the angle of the pinion to that of your original to keep phase proper...any difference in width of the flange to flange can often be worked with if too narrow by use of spacers or negative offset wheels, or if too wide the use of positive offset tires....but then you run the risk of not running stock caps...only you can make these measurements and base your application in regard to any other modification needed to utilize that axle.

other considerations based on application could be parking brake issues....
