Paul Hatfield Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 (edited) I am recently returning to focus on my truck restoration and have been putting together a website for it's progress. There is not much there, but I have added quite a bit of images of original advertising for our trucks. Thought I'd pass along that info in case anyone here might like to check them out. Website name is below my signature. Gosh, it's good to be back and lining up the tasks for restoring the truck! Paul Edited July 7, 2016 by Paul Hatfield 1 Quote
Young Ed Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 Paul are these ads ones you own? I have a lot of stuff for my trucks but not very many of them fit in my scanner. Wondering if you found a solution for that. Quote
Paul Hatfield Posted July 7, 2016 Author Report Posted July 7, 2016 Ed- I own some of them, but not all. I have found that with the right light and angle, a photo taken with my IPhone works well. Hope this helps. -Paul Quote
48Dodger Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 I shoot artwork from "above" Ed. In otherwords I stand over it with 2 non directional light sources to reduce shadows and hot spots. Put the target in frame/ reduce the angles on the viewfinder edges (so you are directly over it) Position the lights on each side at about angled at 35 to 45 degs. Crop and adjust with your computer. 48D Quote
Paul Hatfield Posted July 15, 2016 Author Report Posted July 15, 2016 Some of the advertising contain some interesting comments. This one says there are 248 basic "job-rated" body/chassis models. Hopefully you can zoom and and see the print. It's on the right hand side of the piece. -Paul Quote
