stan's52 Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Some of the body attaching points in my 52 coupe floor are rusted so bad the bolts are not holding anything. I am making some patches to weld to the floor, and installing new bolts. I found the only way to remove the bolts is remove the bolt head and punch the rusted bolt out from the top. I am sure I am not the only one who has this problem. I wonder if there is another way to loosen the rusted body bolts I may be missing. Stan Quote
casper50 Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I had to use a sawzall with metal blade. wasn't easy. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 punching from above often is the better method....access to use the tools is the key to how you remove them....be sure you follow the manual on replacing and torque them evenly and to the correct specs...prevent body binding and door issues Quote
