Trying to pull the motor out of my 50 coronet, im pretty sure I've un bolted everything. But I can't get the darn thing up and out. Do I have to separate the transmission from the bell housing....

Makes it a lot easier to do so.

I just had to pull and replace my engine on my 48 Windsor. It wasn't easy but I was able to remove the engine with the hood on.

I unbolted the engine from the bell housing and unbolted the flywheel from the end of the crankshaft. Wasn't the easiest way, probably, but allowed me to keep the hood and front end on.

The top left (towards the steering column) bolt on the tranny can be a real bear to get at depending on the model. Lots of old Mopars got a window cut in their transmission tunnel because of it. My preferred approach was an impact U-Joint and a 30" extension.

I pulled mine without removing the fenders, but I did take off the hood and transmission.

It's lots more balanced without transmission.

You won't get the engine out with the M-6 trans still attached! Pull the trans.

Easiest to also mark and remove the hood.

You can pull just the engine away from the bell housing and FD also as mentioned. Top bell housing bolts are kinda tough for access.
