70DartMike Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Hey guys, I'm new here. I've got a '49 Fargo 1/2 ton pickup (same as B1B) that I'm currently redoing. I'm currently rewiring it and I'm curious to where the brake light switch actually mounts on the truck? Also, what did these have for turn signals and where did they mount the controls? I've got a service manual I'm following for rewiring, but it doesn't give me a location for those switches. Thanks in advance! Mike Quote
pflaming Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) The stop light switch is in the brake line in the area of the starter. It should have two posts on the top. A hot wire normally from the back of the headlight switch or the amp gage gors to one post. The wire to the brake lights attaches to the other post. Turn signals were options. Many used Sig-Stat # 902and still d. (902) may be wrong number. There are several models. Edited October 25, 2015 by pflaming Quote

70DartMike Posted October 25, 2015 Author Report Posted October 25, 2015 Thank you very much! Any idea where to buy the Sig-Stat? Quote
B1B Keven Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Signal Stats can be found on ebay. A 900 is a great unit. Quote
Dave72dt Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Available also at parts houses, Likely they would need to order it but they have listings for them Quote
pflaming Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 One can also use a toggle switch arrangement. Quote
