fudds54 Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 I cant find anyone who sells vent window rubber it is for a 1954 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe 4 door I need the front vent window rubber. Anyone know who sells it? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 Odds are unless you find some NOS your best avenue will be Steele...be prepared to pay the price...the rubber for my 54 Plymouth I got from them...hope you find the Chrysler rubber a better fit...one side on my car was a good fit..the other...not sure what the problem but it wanted to pucker no matter how you tried to fit it..sad part is you pretty much stuck sometimes... Plymouthy Adams Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) odds are you outta luck..HOWEVER...did you use the catalog to look that up, online or paperback...or did you bother to call Steele to check..they do not list my car either but I surely got them form them. And what is the difference in the vent glass between the New Yorker and the Windsor...their catalog is not even at their own admission (surprisingly they do admit to it) not all inclusive.. captden29 Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Fudd, the 54 Chrysler is an odd duck in the collector car world. I know.i have owned many of them over the years. currently I have a 54 Windsor convertible.as far as I know, all the glass is the same on the ny er and the Windsor. Newport may have differences.let me know if you need any parts as I have some I do not need. capt den Quote
suntennis Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Have you tried laysons.com or layson restorations at 877-930-4088 ? Another place is garygoers.com/cat with phone of 406-752-6249 . These places deal with Chryslers and may be able to help. Quote

meadowbrook Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 How about the actual vent window frame or a method of repairing the bottom shaft that goes into the door, mine broke on my 1950 Meadowbrook. Quote
