the k-member clip has been done...pretty common but more popular on trucks that already have straight rails....it requires either a complete box of your original frame by cutting the spring pockets out..read as lots of patching or by installing rails to bolt the k-member to.....if you looking to modern parts, brakes, and other added benefits of the modern stuff you have already limited what you can use..you can however use your stock frame, drop uprights if you wish a tad lower, disc brakes, relocated shocks and R&P for a relatively easier means to an end..plenty of reading wither way....for me..either stock with upgrades or full clip..I personally prefer mopar clip but have never done the transverse transfer yet though I have retained two such units here for possible upgrading.  There was at one time a pamphlet that one ccould order that pretty much goes through the install process of the Volare' suspension  (first car to use the system) thus its eternal reference name..

I had bought a Volare & that was my plan as well but I decided that there was a lot of welding and plating involved, and if I was going to do that much work I wanted better suspension than the Volare's. I decided it was less welding to make new a-frames and put ball-joint uprights on the car.
