I am working on my brakes. I was able to remove and rebuilt the front brakes. I have found one of my front drums lug nuts are different sizes and welded on. I found a new drum but not the lugs.  as for the rears. I cannot seem to remove the drum. I have removed the screw on the end of the shaft but the drum will still not come off. I read  the manual I have. it says there is a screw I have to remove but it does not say where it is. I have a 1953 b4b.

On your replacement drum, does it need right hand or left hand threaded lugs?  If it came without lugs and you have the wrong threaded lugs, you will be very frustrated when trying to install the lugs.  I believe Dorman makes both lugs.  If not, the boneyard raiders on this site should be able to sell you some with the correct threads.

I got my lugs from Roberts.

For removing the rear, you better have a puller. Anything else and you are more likely to separate the axle hub and drum. Even then, when it let's loose its like a gun going off. They really are on there.
