I offered $250 for this tank 2 weeks ago and was rejected. Let me know if he accepts and I'll offer again.

Thats what I was going to offer. I guess thats a NO then already. I like that is has the fuel sender with it. It appears to look exactly like mine.

Cambridge and Cranbrook take the same tank.  The listing on eBay for the new gas tank has some errors.  It incorrectly shows that the tank fits a '52 Savoy, which is a wagon that has a different tank.

I thought they took the same tank. Thats what confused me.

the two links does not show a wagon fuel tank..having removed and replaced mine and documenting the process with photos..I can say this..if I were not so feeling lazy I would go upstairs and photograph an actual 51/52 fuel tank..but having moved my tank 5 inches to the right to center for ease of running dual exhausts in the club coupe..I can say the tank pictured will fit my car with no problems

i am hoping the one below here fits my 52 Cambridge. Going to make an offer now.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! I seen "dual exhaust"!! Do they make split headers for these flat head sixes?

yes to the splits...but in my case not a flathead...E58 police interceptor engine...

Ohhhhhh ok. I got excited. I thought they made split headers for my motor. I seen a dual carb intake on summit, but thats about all. I would never be able to put a V8 in mine. I couldn't do the fabrication that it takes for mounts....etc.

the words yes and but come into my reply...

you can get splits for a flattie all day long.....just not my engine of choice on a custom build

pics of the slight mod to allow tank shift and install of dual exhaust for true left/right pipes of equal length...nix the wheel well...go on the pedestal...that wheel was just for mock up...'93 Police wheel, read very postive offset, is the wheel in use..

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. I would like to mod my car, but putting a V8 in, may beyond my knowledge. I have done many SBC's, but they were in Novas that had 6 bangers in them, and the V8, just dropped in....etc. If I had the nerve, I would mod mine with an V8, but then, I would also have to change the rear end, and have to fab one to fit. Another "fail" that would happen to me.

I looked around online for headers for my flathead 6, just for novelty. I cannot find them at all?

You did some serious mods there!

using search feature dual exhaust manifold returns four pages of topic listings...may be worth your time tor scan a few of these

I will try that shortly here. I couldn't find it. I tried google and nothing came up. I was hoping someone online sold them new. I used Clifford performance once for my slant6. But no good for my flathead. I didn't know anyone still made them for mine.

I did manage to get my fuel line out of the car today, from front to back. I will be replacing the whole fuel line. Not sure what size it is yet.....

I did find these. Not sure if they fit my 52 Cambridge 218 engine. And if they would fit with my stock intake for now.

The JB weld did work,no leak!

But after looking in the tank, I do see rust in the one corner. I don't feel like recoating the tank.

Ordered a new one, and all new steel fuel line. That should be fun to bend without kinking it. ugh!

My filler tube has some rust on about 8 inches of it inside on the curve. Moisture must have been sitting in that area.'

Hard to get to with a wire wheel......... But I did see quit a few videos with using apple cider vinegar. I may try this!

Pretty cool video. When I got my tank from AB, it had a little rust in it. I took a length of chain and swirled it around in there for a while. Took the rust off like I had sanded it. When I drop my tank again, I try the apple cider vinegar treatment for any rust I find.

I must have watched 10 different video on it, and was amazed. I am going to do it tomorrow, and let it sit for two days in the filler tube. I will take before and after photos.
