ruff1148kr Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 Happened to come across this build on line some might find it interesting some will not but either way the guy moves like lightning on his builds http://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/1771997-53-dodge-pilot-house-5-3-gt45-turbo-build.html Quote
Brent B3B Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 interesting, maybe i missed it..... wonder if he changed out the 4.1 gears in the rear differential? saw mention of the bearings and seals....... i'll stick with the flatheads Quote
41/53dodges Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 that's something different, thing ought to move when he gets that 5.3 in there even without the turbo! The LS turbo setup is getting pretty common these days, and dang do they make power. They usually have 6 bolt mains in em, I have heard of these motors doing 900 horse out of the stock bottom end Quote
MartinsB3B Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Wish my build would go that quick. Slick looking truck, though. Quote
ruff1148kr Posted March 4, 2015 Author Report Posted March 4, 2015 That's what surprised me about the post was how quick it was all done. It took me longer to figure out one little thing, than he took on the whole build so far. having mechanical Knowledge, and not be afraid to make mistakes is a powerful thing. I guess I should have built a truck when I was young and I knew everything LOL 1 Quote
Mikec4193 Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 The guy has it like 1/2 done in 2 weeks time....my hat is off to him.... MikeC Quote
Phntm48 Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 It appears he IS building the truck in a more "human" time frame. Quote from his post #3 " Thanks! I am really excited about it. Should be a cool truck when done. I have been working on this truck for about a year now. So I have a bunch of progress pictures. I will post as I have time. " Quote
