BobT-47P15 Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) I know many people, myself included, are not really fond of antique car auctions. But it is interesting to me to see any of the cars we like that are being run through the sale. Most or all of these are really nice looking. Here's a link if you want to look through their complete listing......... http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Docket/Scottsdale-2015/Collector-Cars/c93f0953-b7b1-4e14-be54-399aa14dc28a/01-10-2015/01-19-2015 I This wagon has a Hemi...... Young Ed Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Interesting that 41 dodge truck has a 39 grill. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 30, 2014 Author Report Posted December 30, 2014 As a pickup owner, you would know such things as that Ed. Looked good to me........ Quote
Young Ed Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 As a pickup owner, you would know such things as that Ed. Looked good to me........ It does but a 41 should have the same grill style as my 46 only with extra stainless bars on the lower grill. Everything else appears to be 41 with the headlights out on top of the fenders, the cowl lights, and the bumper with the V in the middle. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 4, 2015 Author Report Posted January 4, 2015 You know, Niel, they will be selling a Futureliner (like the one in your avatar)......which is currently in the Ron Pratte auto collection. He is selling his entire group of around 100 cars, plus a ton of related memorabilia.....signs, pedal cars, etc. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted January 4, 2015 Report Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks, Bob, but I think I'll hold off on that one. Storage space and all, you know how it is. hahaha Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Hey Niel.......I was watching "Bitchin' Rides" on the Velocity channel tonight (Sun), and they were restoring Futureliner #3 for some fellow. Don't know who he was. I think there will be more about it on their next installment. The shop is Kindig It Designs in Salt Lake City. I also found an article on the restoration for a blog for Hemmings...........http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2013/06/21/most-original-unrestored-futurliner-goes-under-the-knife-for-full-restoration/ And another article with a bunch of pics in Blacktop Magazine......... http://www.blacktopmagazine.com/futurliner-3-restoration/ Published on Jun 21, 2014 BJ: Nine years after buying a 1950 GM Futurliner bus at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, Ron Pratt will donate all the proceeds from its sale in 2015 to the Armed Forces Foundation.
