mrwrstory Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 LOVE engine porn! Keep it coming. Maybe a threat???????? Quote
james curl Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 When I built my engine even though the machine shop surface matched the valves to the seats I still checked them for leakage. While the block assembly was on the engine stand I rotated the engine upside down and poured paint thinner into the exhaust and intake ports of the cylinders at TDC with a white paper below them to detect any leakage. I repeated this process on the remaining cylinders in turn at TDC. I had to re-lap several of the valves to stop the leakage. This is a slow way to check each cylinder for valve seal. 2 Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Wow! Me I am a sucker for that car porn! Wish I'll have time to do my engine as nicely some day... The original cover tops of the air & oil cleaner look very sharp chromed. Just takes some time and work to polish them parts that good. Congratulations for nice job! 1 Quote
