dose anyone have a cam grind specs for a 3/4 cam for my 230 or a good grind to bump up preformance. this is a driver not a racer

Three quarter cam is a term I have not heard for a lot of years. Makes me wonder what a half or one quarter cam grind is? ;)

I had Earl Edgerton re-grind my cam several years ago. Good service at a fair price. He can give you recommendations based on your objective. I went with a 240 duration for both intake and exhaust @ .410 lift. Slight lope at idle and good street performance but the choice is yours.

Stock Cam...1/4 Cam...1/2 Cam...3/4 Cam...full race Cam. its a quick way to describe a cam without talking specs.

Most race guys today don't use these terms, they would rather tell you the actual specs.

It came from the flathead days when you didn't have cam cards at your disposal.

Just like the RV cam....its a torquey cam for muscle cars.....you could interchange 3/4 cam for RV cam.

Cam's are built to match components (intake, carb, max rpms, etc)  and type of use (race, towing, etc)...so when you say what cam, I ask, what weight, what carb, what intake, what gearing, what use......da de da de dah.  ^_^

Its easy to use someone else's grind and throw it in, but its funner to find what you should or could have. ^_^

Stock cams are the best for a DRIVER not a racer. They provide decent torque over a wide rpm range. Once the cam is ground it will provide more horsepower or torque but in a much narrower rpm range.

But it can sound so much cooler!

Racer Brown or Earl Edgerton, either one, would know just how to grind it if you tell them what you have and your goal for it. This is like stopping people on the street to ask about cancer cures. Go to the experts.
