Looks like we will be in the Brattleboro area between noon and one, Friday.  We will be driving non interstates in NY, through Troy on NY 7, and coming across on VT 9.  So Gene pick a place for lunch and we will meet you there. Mark should probably be there a bit earlier.  After lunch we will have 3 or 4 hours of messing around time before check in up the road.  There is supposed to be a Hill climb over by Okemo, on Sat and Sunday.  Gene do you know any one who participates?

Haven't heard about the hillclimb and hence don't know if I know the folks. Is it a VSCCA or VRA event? Hemmings Cruise Nights are great and I've been to quite a few but you want to get there early (no later than 5:00 PM, even though it doesn't officially start until 5:30 PM)

Since Mark is coming up from Massachusetts, I suggest we meet at the Chelsea Royal Diner at 487 Marlboro Road (Rt.9) in Brattleboro. (802) 254-8399. It's right at the base of the hill just as you come in to Brattleboro. Is our party going to be you and Mark and your respective spouses and me or are you expecting more folks to join us? Map below. Unless I hear anything different, I'll meet you there between noon and 1:00 PM on Friday.....

Looking forward to seeing you all then! :D

P.S. Glad to hear you dodged the dicey weather you had out your way last night!

Just a heads up to Greg and Mark and anyone else who might be meeting us at the Chelsea Royal Diner for lunch tomorrow. It's a dirt parking lot. I just scouted it out because of all the heavy rain we've had in the last couple of days and it's full of potholes, some of which are pretty good sized. So come in slow and keep your eyes open and we'll see ya there.

Thanks to Gene (aka frankie flathead) for his services as scout and leader for the environs of VT.  The American Precision museum is a good visit, even my wife appreciated the things the machines and their operators can do.  Where else might you see a nine foot long Granite bedded engine lathe with a Vt marble dampening stone????  Betcha that didn't get moved around much during its life....
