mojoe_24 Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 http://imgur.com/a/loXW1#0 Just got it up and running. My friend rebuilt/cleaned the carburetor for me and it seems to be running pretty well. Picked up some new tires because they'd been sitting a while and some were cracked. Have no idea what to do next, but I definitely know tha the interior and truck bed need to be worked on. Quote
Robert Horne Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 Great project there. Check brakes, safe tires, and drive it for awhile first, enjoy.... Quote
pflaming Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 Robert is spot on, enjoy it! Welcome, this is the greatest Mopar "house" on the net. Quote
RodFru2u Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Great looking start of a nice project. Like the others have said, get it running and safe then see what you want to change to make it your own. Lots of excellent information on this site, Don't be afraid to ask questions. The help with pictures and files are invaluable when a tough problem arises. Most troubles you will come up with, These guys have been there done that and have the scars to prove it. mojoe_24 Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 It has a 360. It seems to be running decently right now. There is a little issue with the choke, but I dont' think it will be a hard fix. I was told I should wipe it down with diesel fuel. Was thinking of doing this Wednesday or Thursday. I'd also like to clean up the engine bay, but I really have no idea how to do that. Quote
1952B3b23 Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Nice truck. If that was mine i'd just make it road worthy, safe, and drive the heck out of it. Id leave the paint and all that the way it is, has tons of character. -Chris Quote
William Davey Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 You might want to check the battery. It appears to be sliding out the back of the battery box and may only be held in place by the cables. Quote

When I looked at the pictures I was worried, but it's pretty secure where it is. Quote
