deathbound Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Looks good.....how about a full side shot. Do those caps mount between the wheel & lugs? Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Our old Mopars originally have a guide pin attached to the hub. But I don't think Ford rims have a hole for the guide. So......the choices are either cut off the guide pin or drill a hole in a Ford rim. I find the guide pin helpful when re-mounting my rims using the lug bolts. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 I cut the pins off of my drums and I am very sorry. They are a great help when you are trying to get a big fat heavy wheel/tire back on. I wish I hadn't done that. Quote

I took along a battery powered drill and bits with the Ford wheels when I went to pick up the 55 DeSoto. I didn't drill them in advance because for some reason I don't understand some people knock the guide pins off the Mopar hubs and no drilling is necessary then. The 56 DeSoto was delivered to me as a part of the swap, and at least two of the wheels on it came from a modern Ranger. Quote
