DollyDodge Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Just thought I'd let you know I am still working on the old truck. I made a plate for the hole where the gas tank filler comes through the cab. As far back as I can remember there was just a piece of rubber and it was glued to the floor, and long ago the glue quit holding. It looked to me like originally there was a plate over the rubber, so I made one. Is what I created ok? or similar to original? Quote
HanksB3B Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Hello Dolly (sorry couldn't help it) Where is your other hose clamp on the filler neck ? I'm not done either, Hank 1 Quote
Jeff Balazs Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Looks good. I pretty much did the exact same thing on mine. How is your engine coming along? Hopefully there has been some progress. Jeff Quote
JBNeal Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 the plate looks to be a belt & suspenders approach compared to the original installation, but it looks good and oughta keep the varmints from coming in that way Quote
DollyDodge Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Hank, I'm getting around to the other clamp Jeff, I need to go check on the engine. I haven't been able to go by in about 3 weeks. Last time I was there the new block was being shipped. Inch by inch. I am getting closer to a running beast. Varmit proofing was important, they made a nest out of the old seat while it sat fot 30 years waitingfor me to bring her back to life. Quote
