61farnham
I've been lurking here for a while so i thought I'd finally take the time to say hi. My names Simon and i live in Romsey, England and i've owned my '48 Plymouth business coupe since March this year, also own a '61 Ford Zodiac estate or wagon to you lot but i won't mention F**d too often on here. The Plymouth's a solid car that's sitting on cut front springs and blocks to the rear with all stock running gear except an overdrive box out of a later Dodge i believe, just needs the interior sorting out. Future plans for the car include raising the front a little, not enough travel, adding some fender skirts and i'm on the lookout for period tuning equipment if any turns up at sensible prices!! Just like to add my thanks to you all for providing this site with it's wealth of info and tips, even found out how to get the reflectors out of the rear light housings this morning. regards .......... Redmond49
Very nice looking car, Simon. Very nice how the front emblem red pops against the gray paint. Mine seem to have been rechromed, so no pretty red paint. There seem to be a lot of American classics headed to Europe with the strong Euro. Was this one already over there or did you import it? hendo0601
Welcome! Nice car you have yourself there! I am not really sure what a ford zodiac is? I guess I could google it but I am way too lazy for that LOL
GlennCraven
Hi, Simon! Beautiful car. ... And I like all sorts of cars, so mention the Ford all you want. Though probably that should be in the Off Topic section.

61farnham
Thanks for the comments and the warm welcome. The car was built in L.A. and spent it's life in the San Francisco area until it was imported to the U.K. in Nov. 2011 by it's previous owner who i believe was/is a member on this forum. There's always been a strong interest in American classics/customs and hot rods in the U.K. and Europe but your right Tyson there seems to quite a lot being imported recently and not just your usual Fords and Chevys. Redmond49
Even with the poor exchange rate on our side, it seems to be going both ways. I'm guessing the Panhard PL17 that I saw at the grocery store two weeks ago wasn't sold new in the states!
