esilky Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 I'm in the process of doing a fairly complete restoration of my 1948 D24. I need to remove the wiper switch in order to complete the work on the dash. It seems like I would use a tool (spanning wrench) in the two holes in the bezel and unscrew the bezel - but it's not wanting to turn and I don't want to break it. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. The shop manual isn't much help with this. Thanks Quote

esilky Posted September 22, 2013 Author Report Posted September 22, 2013 Thank you for the link to the tools. I guess my main question is whether the bezel unscrews or the switch comes out some other way. If I can verify that the bezel is meant to unscrew then I could buy one of these tools (I think a different one from the same site). But if it doesn't unscrew and I twist it, I'll end up with a broken switch - that's what I'm trying to avoid. Quote

Thanks for posting a reminder for us newer guys. Quote
