Lambrecht Chevrolet is selling out the end of this month Sept. 28-29.  500 cars 50 or so brand new never driven60's and 70's and a Cameo pickup.  I dont have any afiliation with them,,,just watched from afar for 60 years while these cars rusted away.

Supposed to be 8 to 10,000 people in town for this sale but I guess they underestimated by 5 fold

Van Der Beek has the sale. An Indy pace car Vette non running is currently at 35K or so

"IF" anyone is in town would like to meet up

This auction has been receiving a lot of press in the last few months.  If I were closer, I'd take a look.

My take is that experienced 'car folk' will stay away because they know what prolonged storage does to vehicles.  The newbies will be drawn in by low mileage and the chance to be the first titled owner of a 50 year old car.

I'm interested in seeing the list of sale prices after the event.  I think the prices will be at two extremes ('on the moon' and 'scrap')  with very few cars in the middle.

They have many cars that have been in dry storage. That Cameo has less then 20 miles on the odometer. Checked out a video the put out last month. Incredible some of those cars have never left the dealership.

I'm going up Friday for the preview. Brother is coming up from Louisiana for the weekend, so I can' make the auction.

I made a list of the zero mileage cars and pickups in the OT forum a few weeks ago.

Apparently he wouldn't discount the left over cars so he stored them. Same with trade-ins, so they sat like a junk yard, driven there.

A few 53 Plymouths

I just quit my job this week, so I sure don't have money to buy, but I might have interest in seeing things.

I live in southeast Kansas, and could drive up there for a couple of days and look around. Bring a camera. I have nothing else to do.

But, jostling with 10,000 to 50,000 people might not be my idea of a good time.
