pflaming Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 I saw this car on the road today, and stopped to look. It is an all original car. Everything works, radio, fog lamps, turn signals, fluid drive, etc. It has the original upholstery which shows no wear. It's a real gem. The photos do not do it justice. He just put a brand new set of Cokers WWW Tires on it. I introduced him (Art) to the forum so he may have it listed in the classifieds. It's for sale for around 10 grand and the owner is willing to talk. Quote
mhaywood Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 Do you think that's the original color? It is almost identical to mine and I am curious to know what the factory description of that color is. Quote

frankieflathead Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) Forest Green or Gypsy Green http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1947-Dodge-pg03.jpg I sure remember that shade, Greg. A lovely color. And what's with all the original, unrestored D24's in remarkable condition that are popping up all over the place lately? Might it have something to do with the fact that they were rugged cars built out of superior materials? Of course, I'm probably a little prejudiced! Edited August 28, 2013 by frankieflathead Quote
mhaywood Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Thanks guys. I have yet to convince my wife that this color adds to the charm of these old cars. She says my car looks like a booger... Quote
