The headlight switch on my P7 coupe has gone bad. There's a bezel that apparently holds the shaft of the switch in place. How I remove the bezel to get the switch out? I want to replace it with an original switch.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Desotodav, thanks for posting the link. My problem is not the knob, i have that off. My question is about getting the switch out. I'm used to seeing switches with nuts on a threaded shaft or a button on the switch that releases the shaft. This switch has a bezel on the shaft. How do i get the bezel loose? Is there a tool i need to remove the bezel on the shaft?

It looks like Eric's tools only fit Dodge trucks. The bezel (nut) on my '39 Plymouth has a different configuration. I scoured e-pay and the only removal tools there are for later model MOPARs.....

Post a picture of your bezel. I have one of erics tools and it works on both my 46 dodge pickup and my 48 plymouth.

That looks just like the ones on my 48. Send eric a PM he has a tool that will work.

Best using the forum search function (top right of screen) when researching an issue. This tool is the one you need... try this link... http://p15-d24.com/topic/31764-dash-nutbezel-removal-tool/?hl=%2Bbezel+%2Btool .

Ebay link for Eric's tool for sale... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1939-1940-1941-42-1946-1947-Dodge-Plymouth-Pickup-Truck-Switch-Nut-Removal-Tool-/151098465999#shId .

I sent a e-mail to Eric with pic of the bezel in question and he directed me to the correct tool.

Thanks all for your help.
