Tailgate Chain Bracket

My 1947 Dodge WC pickup is mostly together. The tailgate has no chain brackets right  so I will need to fabricate them from scratch. Does anyone have a photo of one and the  dimension from the center of the  hole to 1.  the outer (Dodge side) of the gate and 2. the distance from the center to either the hinge tube center or to the top tube center. The fabricator will only have the tailgate. Without the sides, we only have one shot at it . I have the sides, he has the tailgate so it's a tossup if it will fit.

Thanks, John

Yes this should be on the truck side. Your box is the same as the pilot house low side boxes. Depending on how much its going to cost to fabricate new brackets you might be better off to just buy a new tailgate. I don't have any close up shots but I can take some later.

Thanks, I think that I can use these. Because there are no holes in tailgaste (all holes welded up) I guess we will wing it a bit as far as vertical height from bottom hingges go.. Even though catalog says 1948 dodge (pilot house?) they look the same as what I had on my 47 WC dodge truck. Thanks, John
