Anybody ever run Blue Crown Spark Plugs.. Guy gave me some NOS plugs. Tonight I Decided to pull the Plugs on the 46 to see how the plugs read.. Spent too much time as a Dirt Burner Racer and readin plugs.. So I decided to throw a set of Blue Crown Spark Plugs in.. Will see how she likes em this weekend.. The Autolites I took out looked real good.. Only have about 700 miles on the engine but I was happy to see all 6 lookin nice and the same across the board..

Never ran them but have heard of them through hearing about the Blue Crown specials running at Indy in the 50's and 60's. I remember seeing them along with AC, Champions, and a couple other brands at the local Western Auto Store when I was a kid.  When I was cleaning out my father's garage I found a set of AUBURN branded plugs.  I wondered if they were from an Auburn Car ( which he never would have had) or if they were a brand of plug common back in the day.

WAG:  Auburn plugs may have been a regional brand made in Auburn, NY.

I did not find much but it appears AUBURN SPARK PLUGS were made in Syracuse at one time.

Collecting Old Spark Plugs has become a viscious hobby in itself.. But for me people just keep dropping them off since they know I collect old Stationary engines and Tinker on Old Cars.. I can say I dont have any Auborn Spark plugs yet LOL...
