I just got my hands on a 1937 Dodge steering wheel in excellent condition. A street rodder had a box of parts and I was looking though it the other day after helping with her car. This wheel was wrapped in a real in nice leather cover. The wheel has a tan finish. It did not have it's center button. I was wondering could I use it as my new wheel and use my button? My interior is tan so it would look real nice in my car. Were theses wheels the same from 37 to 41?

Rodney,

I don't know the "swapability" of the wheel but I do know how you could find out: Try it.  It will fit or it won't.  Your horn button will need to be tried too, but if it also fits you're set.

Randy..marvel idea but the flaw is in the application...some folks want to know without effort being put forth..while this concept is great..one may not get the answer and thus venturing forward on their own would answer the question and in return place the answer back in this very hog trough of information everyone loves to feed from..

No It will not fit. it's a different configuration. the 1940 has a outer ring around the horn button and the 37 does not. it's a real nice steering wheel. yes, I will sell it. I traded it for something so I would like to get some of my money back. Anyone interested please e-mail me mightlock@aol.com  To bad, I really like it!
