Scarbird Disc Brake Conversion

Hi  I have a new project truck a 1948 1/2 ton truck B-1

Scarebird has a disc brake conversion right now on ebay but they say its for 1949-1953. I thought they were the same from 48 to 53 would this kit work on a 48 or is there a reason what is the difference. Emailed the tech at scarebird and he said he was just going by what hollander had in its book. and could not tell me anything else. help please

I second using the OldDaddy kit... he really helped me out when I had some minor issues.. nice to be able to "talk" (email) a real person that is invested in making your kit fitment a success.
