moparob50 Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Hi everyone I just came into another Ol MoPar. It is a 50 Wayfarer convertable. I still have to pick it up and drag it home but here is a pic for ya. 'looking for inner rockers or prints to build new ones and who knows where to find new rag tops' Quote
Frank Elder Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Was it this one? http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?p=327655#post327655 Quote
49roadster Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 I bought the top for my 1949 roadster from Bill Hirsch www.hirschauto.com. It was right and had the correct rear window. Just for info. I don't know about the '50s but in 49 all the roadsters had gray tops no mater what the car color was. In 1998 it was $475 and I paid $600 to be installed. Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 You can actually "dress up" one of those ragtops and make it look right uptown, if desired. Saw this one on the net. Quote
pflaming Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 I saw this one in Maine last summer. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 I owned this '50 model back in the 60s and early 70s. Bought it from a young fellow for $75 as it wasn't running. It was a dark green color and the interior had been re-done in red cheap vinyl. Finally sold it to a collector (Paul Stern) in Mannheim, PA. Towed it there with a tow bar. The sale price then was a whopping $400. Quote
Taylormade Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 I'm very pleased to see my Wayfarer going to a good home with Moparob50. He's got a long trip ahead of him to come and pickup the car and bring it home. 'looking for inner rockers or prints to build new ones and who knows where to find new rag tops' We've been going over details for the last few days and he may have forgotten, but I'm including a complete inner rocker to use as a pattern. Where else do you get service like this? Quote
