frankieflathead Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 It's a very rare 1902 Errorfilé 404. I thought the were French, not American. Hardly ever see them at car shows. Quote

40P10touring sedan Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Yeah, I removed the "/index.htm" and it worked fine. While the bugerking guy was interesting, it wasn't as interesting a Capt Rickenbacker's interest in cars....never knew he was into cars...just being an air ace was all I ever knew...learn something new every day I guess. Mark D Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks for sharing that link. I had never heard of the "Bay State" Auto Company. I just did some googling and found out that it was produced here in Framingham Mass, which also happens to be the place of my employ for the past 25 years. The manufacturer named " R.H.Long" still exists to this day, although their new dealership moved one town over. Now I'm wondering if any of these cars exist 100 years later?R.H. Long built the Bay State in Framingham, Mass from 1922-1924. The Bay State built in Framingham may remind you of a Winton, it has a similar radiator and was designed by a former designer at Winton. Some 2500 Bay State units were produced in three years, equiped with a Contenental six cylinder. Continental Motors Company produced engines for independent automobile manufacturers from 1905 through the 1960s. Prices For the Bay State automobile ranged from $1800.00 to $2850.00 Quote
