Mark D Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Look what I found perusing a 1951 issue of Popular Mechanics Magazine. Post war innovation at its best. Looks like a Dodge or Desoto. Can't remember if that curl on the upper lip of the bumper was unique to the Desoto... Note the "detonation meter" attached to the dash! So who among us is ready to try this modification? Quote
Niel Hoback Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 For many years I worked around lots of Mopar powered tractors that ran on propane. They were, and probably still are used indoors and the exhaust smells very sweet. Quote
Mark D Posted November 14, 2012 Author Report Posted November 14, 2012 Most of the construction equipment on my job sites is LPG powered. Some landlords allow them to run in the building as long as I use a scrubber on the exhaust. It's a riot to see bobcats scooting around inside a lowrise building at night from the exterior of the building. Just something you don't see often. Quote
1941Rick Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 An hour and a half south of me there is a guy working on propane fuel injection for a mopar flattie.....very interesting Quote
Frank Elder Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Tail lights denote dodge.....desotos are more vertical. Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Looks to me like severe dashboard modifications as well as ear phones are required for this modification as well as the under the hood stuff. Quote
