Greetings. I'm a new member looking for a passenger side tail light mounting bracket. Have the drivers side and new lights. Also, has anyone had success finding replacement rims for the old split rims? I would like to get away from them due to the dangers. Thank you.

The rim's should be lock ring style and as long as the ring and grove that it sits in when assembled are clean and free of rust they would be safe. Myself I would still have a tire shop mount the tires.

As for new replacements, Stockton Wheel sells a rim that will fit but they are pricey and they are for single rear wheel only.

the passenger side tail light bracket is a rare part to find, and some of the ones I have found are actually driver side brackets that have been carefully bent over backwards, probably using a stout bench vise, a blowtorch and a BIG crescent wrench. Or if ya wanna get creative, make one from scratch. Trace the one ya have on some paper, transfer that to some equivalent gauge steel, and break it over in a vise. Once it's painted up & installed, who'll know that it's an original work of art?

Which type of bracket do you have for the left side? I got this one and the same for the right side from Vintage Power Wagons. This is an exact reproduction of what I originally had on my truck. They also have a couple of other styles. Check 'em out at http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/

Thanks much - what a great web site! Mine is different than yours. My B1D is a stake bed frame so it has a flange to frame, a round tube that flattens out to the two-bolt light pattern. Once I figure out how to attach a photo to the forum, I'll do that.

I was able to make the type of mount you are lookin for by cuting a piece of 1/16 in plate to the same size as the bracket and bending a piece of EMT (elect tube) to the same shape and welding them together. The light end of the tubing was flattened in a vise and the holes were drilled. It was hard to tell the difference.
